Shooter by Walter Dean Myers is easily in my top ten favorite books I have ever read. Just like most other Walter Dean Myers books, Shooter is written in a very unorthodox fashion.
Shooter doesn't really have a plot, just a series of important events that lead you to the final crime. Throughout all of the book until the end, it is just records of police interviews to the survivors involved in the crime. With all of the interviews strung together, you start to form a picture of the crime in your head, and finally, at the end of the book, it gives the final interview when you find out what really happens. By then, you are dying to find out what happens!
Shooter really shows how insane someone can get because of pain, torture, and bullying at school and is a very addicting book to read. Once you start, you can't put it down. I highly recommend reading this book!
