This is the second book of nine of the Bone series by Jeff Smith. Jeff Smith got me hooked on the Bone series by the first book I enjoyed it so much I gave the second book a chance and I didn't regret it. In the second book Phoney Bone who is obsessed with his wealth is cheating on the cow race which he bet a lot of money on. As normal Phoney's plan goes way wrong and that puts him and the others plan of heading back to Boneville in danger. As always the Rat Creature and there boss are still hunting to find Phoney Bone.
