Because of Winn-Dixie by:Kate DiCamillo is a great book filled with detail and also, filled with action.
Because of Winn-Dixie is a story about a girl running in to a dog in a grocery store, she claims him in front of the grocery staff and names him after the store, Winn-Dixie. This girl is new to town so she doesn't have alot of friends. The dog she founds gives her a whole new meaning to friendship. She meets new friends and when she decides to throw a party for all her new friends, Winn-Dixie goes missing. It's up to the girl and and her father to find him. To find out what happens next you have to read the book.
