Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

The book "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" had many interesting mysteries in which Sherlock Holmes, with the help of his partner, Watson, investegate and solve a wide variety of cases. Even though this book was written in the late 1800s, and has very fancy vocabulary, it is a very fun book to read.

An example of one of the mysteries is "THE ADVENTURE OF THE ENGINEER"S THUMB". This case is about a hydraulic engineer, an owner of his own company, who was approached by a very shady military man who wanted to hire him to fix a large hydraulic pump, which he was using to mine very precious and rare stone. The engineer accepted the offer and suspicious met the military man at his home. At that point things went haywire and everything that could go wrong, went wrong.

Another very good mystery is "THE ADVENTURE OF THE SPECKLED BAND" in which in the middle of the night, a woman's sister screams and then dies. The sister then goes to Sherlock and Watson and they get right on the case. This is my personal favorite of the book and has many twists and turns that surprise you until you reach the climax, the best part of the book in my opinion.

Overall, if you have the time, and the patience to read this weird dialect, I highly suggest this book to anyone.
