Nathan Gomber has just called Nancy involving her father's safety . But , before Nancy could visit her friend Helen she and her father nearly get run over by a car . When Helen and Nancy arrive at the Twin Elms they hear that there was a robbery at the mansion . This robbery was committed by a ghost.
During her stay , the ghost returns and tries to scare the girls. But, Nancy isn't scared so she tries to solve they mystery. On the way, Nancy finds clues and secrete passage ways. She also finds the motive and the culprit of the crime.
